Discussion with Members on Recent Incidents in Pasir Gudang, Johor – July 9, 2019

Mr Goh Eng Leong, EXCO Member and Chair of the Regulatory Affairs Committee chaired a discussion with members from the southern region pertaining to the recent waste and air pollution in Pasir Gudang, Johor which has impacted the public, schools and students. Members discussed on issues / concerns over immediate actions proposed and frequent inspections by the Government, as well as concerted efforts that could be undertaken by the industry through CICM to address the pollution issue in the short and long term. Held at the DoubleTree Hilton Johor Bahru, the discussion was attended by representatives from 16 member companies including FMM Johor Branch.
